Pregnancy Taught Me to Love My Body

Looking back, I’ve never been completely happy with my body. Even though I consistently exercised and was in decent enough … More

Found this gem on the way to a birthday party. I love that it celebrates girls of different cultures and backgrounds. When I was young, I always wanted to fit in. As I got older, I realize that our differences, especially when combined with empathy and vulnerability, can become our strengths. While they can break us, they can also create community. On #IWD, I thank the women before us who have paved the way, and those who continue to do the work to uplift our community of women, now and in the future. Didn’t get the classic holiday family photo in front of our tree this year. Who knew it would be this difficult to coordinate 2 little kiddies?! Also didn’t get around to making a holiday card. But as I always say, there’s always next year! These photos are what we would’ve put on our holiday card this year. Happy holidays everyone! Just discovered my new favorite brunch spot @toasttocoastbrunch! Their Korean-inspired dishes and hand crafted drinks are so delicious. And I can’t get enough of their extra crunchy hash cubes! This restaurant just opened and I’ve already been there twice.😝 Can’t wait to go back again soon! Glad we pulled off this last minute ocean ensemble. All the costumes were handmade/bought secondhand/borrowed (but not sewn of course haha). We had so much fun with the little ones this year and enjoyed seeing everyone’s creativity come alive! Happy Halloween everyone! Til next year. We had a great day at @portkellsnurseries - the 1st pumpkin patch visit for baby C! High tea date with my besties at @lapetitecuillere! Happy birthday my lovely. #hightea #teatime #vancouvereats It’s been 7 years since our wedding day. But our story started many years before that, first at the mall, then continued over bubble tea and a game of 99. Eventually, we graduated to more “adult” things like dining at restaurants and going on trips abroad. Then, there were the milestones: moving in together, getting married and becoming parents. Thanks for always being down for anything, whether it is wrangling two screaming kids, surviving the wilderness or running away from imaginary dinosaurs. You are the best partner and I’d go on any adventure with you. #HappyAnniversary Sharing a piece I wrote recently for @remakeourworld about Levi's and their unsustainable practices, as well as more ethical alternatives. As the largest denim brand in the world, Levi's continues to evade responsibilities while risking the health and safety of their garment workers and depleting valuable resources. We’re at 40 weeks today. Not sure what kind of rollercoaster we’re in for. Now looking back at these photos with my babies, I’m most worried about that little one in the red glasses smiling so sweetly. I know she sensed the upcoming changes. I worry that it’s going to be difficult for her and that I might not be there for her while she navigate this transition. I worry that I didn’t prepare her enough for this. But I guess that’s what we do as parents - we worry about everything while we try to let go all at the same time.
